The Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu has appointed the former Vice Chancellor of the Cross River State University CRUTECH, Professor Anthony Owan-Enoh as Secretary to the State Government SSG.
The Governor also named Chairman of FCT chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Emmanuel Ogbeche as Chief Press Secretary, CPS.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, General Administration in the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Innocent Eteng, disclosed that Governor Otu also approved Honourable Emmanuel Ironbar as his Chief of Staff.
Also appointed is retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG John Abang, who is now Special Adviser on Security matters
Mr Achu Ben Olayi and retired Commander Patrick Odiong will serve as Special Advisers on Security for North and Southern Parts of Cross River State .
Consequently, Governor Otu who also appointed Sylvester Otu- Abang as Acting State Chief of Protocol, said all appointments takes immediate effect.
