The Coalition of election Observers in Cross River State have described the recent Presidential, Parliamentary and Governorship Elections in the state as Free, fair and credible in line with the INEC Electoral Guidelines.
The Group however said it observed some pockets of tactically organised vote buying which did not in anyway invalidate the polls since it cannot be traced or established.
Speaking with Journalists in Calabar on its findings during the election, leader of the Coalition observer groups under the Centre for credible leadership and citizens awareness, Nwanbu Gabriel, said in all the 3,281 polling units, less than twenty percent had issues of vote buying and established crisis.

The group scored the electoral body and security agencies high in their handling of the polls, advising that there is room for improvement in future exercises.
