No fewer than Six persons have been declared missing while over four hundred households have been submerged with about seven hundred farmlands destroyed in flood disaster in Obubra local Government area of Cross River State.
The Flood which was a result of heavy downpour, affected fifteen riverine communities in the local Government Area rendering hundreds of the inhabitants homeless.
The flood, which occurred as a result of rains that lasted about five days, took over the affected communities destroying rice, yam and cassava farms, economic trees, household items and schools worth millions of naira.
In a statement issued by the Director-General of Cross River State Emmergency Management Agency , Princewill Ayim, he called on the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA and other public spirited Individuals to support the inhabitants with food and non food items at the affected Communities

The State Emergency Management Agency assured that the hidderance of vehicular movement caused by the heavy downpour has been salvaged saying that all the fallen trees have been evacuated.
The affected communities include Ogurude, Osopong, Okimbogha Ogamana, Ofonekom, Idoru among others
