Ahead of the Local Government Councils Election in Cross River State, Governor. Ben Ayade has reconstituted the Cross River State Electoral Commission CROSIEC.
Ayade in a statement signed by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Tanko Ashang re-appointed Professor Mike Ushie to continue as chairman of the electoral commission.
Joining Ushie as members of the CROSIEC are seven newly appointed members with a Charge to commence activities leading to the local government elections.

Other members of the commission are – Matthew Ucheche, Joe Nnandi Esom, Yakmoendoho Yakmoendoho, Medea Ajah Inyang,Ndoma Bassey Ndoma and Ekuri Bassey Ogar.
Ekuri Bassey Ogar would serve as the secretary whose activities takes immediate effect.
Ushie, is a university of Càlabar lecturer and was first appointed in 2017 to head the state electoral body in Cross River State.
