Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC National Chairman to look into federal appointments concerning Cross River indigenes, especially on NDDC Slot.
Governor Otu made the appeal while addressing hundreds of protesters, who came to his Dan Archibong temporary office in Calabar, the Cross River Capital.
Protests had continued to rock the state over the announcement of a Peoples Democratic Party member, Asu Okang, as the representative of the state in the NDDC board.

The Governor while appeling for calm, expressed confidence that the President will address the issue in the party’s interest and equity as the only APC Controled state in the South South Region.
The protesters led by Barrister Akiba Ekpenyong and Nta Eke had marched to the State House of Assembly complex to address the Speaker and other members of the state Parliament on the issue.
