The Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Cross River State has raised the alarm over alleged plans to arrest and detain some of its key members and supporters ahead of the general elections. It however urged the security agencies to be neutral in performing their constitutional duties.
The Governorship candidate of the Party in Cross River State, Professor Sandy Onor, made this known when he spoke with journalists during a media briefing at the NUJ Press Centre in Calabar.

Onor said the security agencies must not allow themselves to be used to torment innocent citizens and supporters of opposition parties. He says any attempt to do otherwise will be resisted legally.
The Governorship Candidate also called on INEC in Cross River State to be transparent on the issue of BVAS, raised by the Inter-Party Advisory Council IPAC.
Cross River State Will be going for a competitive election for the first time In recent years, a development that has made the major opposition parties feel concerned about the activities of the Government and the electoral umpire.
