The Federal Government’s Life-ND Project is driving a wave of rural transformation in Cross River State.

Following a highly successful first phase, the state has now been selected for Phase Two—thanks to its commitment to counterpart funding and a proven track record of project delivery.

The Life-ND Project, an initiative of the Federal Government partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the Niger Delta Development Commission, is already making a measurable difference in the life of the people

At the commissioning and handover ceremony of a new open market stall, toilet facilities, and a solar-powered borehole at Uruaandung in Akpabuyo Local Government Area, Governor Bassey Otu represented by the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Johnson Ebokpo, highlighted the government’s commitment to need-based development.

Residents of Uruaandung expressed joy and gratitude, stating that the new market and accompanying facilities will enhance their economic and social lives, as the community has lacked a structured marketplace for the last 3 decades.

With Cross River state’s active participation in the Life-ND initiative, more communities across the state may soon witness transformational development.
