Cross River State Commissioner of Police, Aminu Alhassan has called on Parents and religious leaders across faith based organizations to instill fear of God in their children, as one of the primary methods of reducing crimes and criminalities in the Society.
The Commissioner of Police said religious organizations have left this primary responsibility to preaching of Prosperity, hence the upsurge in committing crimes.

Speaking during the Islamic and Quran Graduation ceremony Calabar Central Mosque, Alhassan who was joined with the Imam of Navy and Army Central Mosques in Càlabar, said gross reduction in moral values in the society is making the job of security agencies a tough one.
He assured the people of Cross River of Policing without bias to any persons or group if found culpable of any crime.
Some of the graduands pledged to be of good character and obedient to constituted authority.
Càlabar Central Mosque in Bogobiri has been a peace centre where Muslims and other faiths meet to discuss issues of security in Cross River State.
