Cross River Security: Navy partners citizens on intelligence gathering

The Nigerian Navy Says the need to partner with individuals and groups in the society is a priority to enable them gather useful intelligence that will guarantee a peaceful and safer Cross River State and Nigeria.

Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu, made this known during a wakathon 3.0 organised by Healthy lifestyle Fitness Clubs in Calabar.

The FOC who was represented by Commodore Oyetunji Fadeyi, said the collaboration will enhance Security not only in Cross River State but Nigeria in General.

The President of healthy Fitness Club,Williams Archibong said the theme was chosen as a way to support the fight against insurgency and banditry in the Country.

The Chief Imam of Calabar,Ustaz Kabeer Ololaiyemo and Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima who joined in the twelve Kilometre walk said peace in Nigeria is not negotiable as the country prepares for 2023 general elections.

Over twenty Fitness clubs in Calabar joined in the twelve Kilometre walk, aimed at creating awareness on the need to have peaceful election and support the effort of Security operatives in the Country.
