One of the ways to tackle the persistent insecurity in Cross River State is to identify the flashpoints and invest in intelligence gathering and software Community Policing strategy
This was made known by the newly deployed Commissioner of Police to Cross River State Abdulkadir Jimoh in Calabar, with a plan to launch “Operation Mulky Water” to fish out bad elements in the Paradise State.
Jimoh who spoke with journalists shortly after inspecting the strategic areas in the command said the patrols to hinterlands would be strengthened to protect areas that are vulnerable to crime.

He warned officers and men of the command against extortion just as he read the riot act to criminals operating in the state to relocate or his new method of fighting crimes and his robust community policing background will flush them out of town.
The new State police Boss pledged to ensure the protection of lives and property in line with the mandate of the Inspector General of Police by adopting “results-yielding approaches” to fight crime in his area of operation.
