Cross River State Government says it will support its Bauchi State counterpart free Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) including face mask, to reduce the spread of COVID–19 disease.
The State Commissioner for Health and Chairman COVID-19 Taskforce Response Team, Dr. Betta Edu stated this, Friday while addressing Journalists over the statement credited to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed about the status of Coronavirus pandemic in Cross River.
According to Edu, there was no point exchanging words with Governor Bala Muhammed, since he is in the same political party with Governor Been Ayade of Cross River State, instead, Cross State will support Bauchi State in its effort to reduce the spread disease in the state.
The Commissioner,however , attributed Cross River free status from Covid 19 to hardwork and commitment of the Citizens.

Cross River State is the only state in Nigeria without a confirmed case of Covid-19 and the state Promises to sustain the status.
