In a bid to meet global security benchmarks, the Cross River State Police Command has rolled out an intensive training initiative designed to enhance the capabilities of its officers, particularly those charged with safeguarding high-profile individuals.

The training program, officially launched at the Police Mobile Force, Squadron 11 Calabar, aims to significantly upgrade the physical and mental readiness of the officers.

It underscores the command’s commitment to ensuring that its officers are not just competent but excel in the demanding field of high-level security.

The State Commissioner of Police, Gyogon Grimah, who presided over the inauguration, emphasized the urgency of the training.

He pointed out that the evolving nature of security threats requires proactive approach and the adoption of cutting-edge techniques.

The CP called on the participating officers to embrace the program with full dedication, stressing that the officers’ commitment would not only enhance their personal expertise, but also elevate the overall operational efficiency of the State Police Command and the Nigerian Police Force in general.

The training is expected to produce a cadre of highly skilled officers capable of delivering top-tier security services, thereby reinforcing the command’s commitment to maintaining safety and order within the state.
