Cross rivers justice Agube’s wife regains freedom

Cross River State Police Command has confirmed the release of Ekwele Agube,the abducted wife of Justice Ignatius Agube at the early hours of Saturday.

The state Police Public Relations Officer,Irene Ugbo who Confirmed to AIT’s Rasheed Olanrewaju in Calabar said it took the combined efforts of security agencies in the state to get her released.

Ugbo who said no ransom was paid for the release of the Jurist’s wife, however said some of those who are responsible for her abduction have been arrested and giving useful information about their gangs chains of engagements.

The Police PRO called on the citizens to always take police into confidence by giving useful and intelligence information on what they notice around them and their enviromnent.

She assured the people of Cross River State of improved policing Strategy that will curb the menace of Kidnapping in the state.

Ekwele Agube, the wife of Justice Ignatius Agube of the Appeal Court was kidnapped in her shop at Ekorinim in Calabar Municipality Area Council of Cross River State on the 4th of July ,2020 by some unidentified gunmen and killed her female personal assistant, Glory Akpama.
