A cross-section of the Civil Society Organizations in Kano State have called for the cancellation of the All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Primaries Election held in the state, saying it was marred by irregularities.
This is just as the National Human Rights Commission has alleged that three persons were killed during the primaries.
The All Progressives Congress in Kano State held its Governorship Primaries on the 26th of May.
The Governorship Primaries was contested between Shaaban Sharada and the deputy governor of the state, Nasiru Gawuna, who is the preferred and anointed candidate of the governor.
Gawuna later emerged as the winner.

Reacting to the primaries, the groups of CSOs have alleged that the process was hijacked and manipulated.
They, therefore, call for the cancellation of the primaries as they alleged that delegates were not properly screened.

National Human rights commission through its Kano office also alleged that three persons were killed during the APC governorship primaries.
The state coordinator, Shehu Abdullahi plead with all aggrieved groups to remain calm and not take laws into their hands
The police in the state, through its spokesman, Haruna Kiyawa, said no incident of violence was reported during the primaries, and as such, it has no record of any attack or death.
