Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, in Nigeria have stressed the need for all stakeholders to be carried along in the actualization of the Ogoni clean-up exercise
They said if all the stakeholders are involved in the clean-up projects, it would bridge the communication deficiency which usually gives rise to negative assumptions on the project.
In an effort at ensuring that all the stakeholders were carried along in the scheme of things of the clean-up projects, the CSOs have been meeting with the Ogoni people to brainstorm on how they can be part of the clean-up projects in order to achieve the desired results.
After extensive deliberations with stakeholders, they came up with some set of people that will get across to the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, HYPREP, to get down to the grassroots so as to bridge the communication gap.
The CSOs have been in the forefront in the actualization of the Ogoni clean-up project.
