The Nigerian Army says its eagle eyes are on all the border routes between Nigeria and Cameroon in Cross River State to ensure that the Ambazonia militants, a separatist group in South-Western Cameroon, are put under check while citizens living on the border corridor are protected.
General Officer Commanding 82 division, Major General Umar Musa, gave the assurance while addressing officers and men of 13 Brigade of the Nigerian army,during the commissioning of some facilities in Calabar.

Major General Umar said Danare,Bashua and other linked communities with Western Cameroon in Cross River State are under strict 24 hour troops patrol.
He said the intelligence gathered from various army units monitoring the separatists revealed that there is no cause for alarm
On his part, the Nigeria Army 13 Brigade Commander,Brigadier General Everest Okoro, said some of the facilities provided are to improve the welfare of personnel in the command.
Some of the projects Commissioned by the GOC include, state of-the- art -13 Brigade Quarter Guard, Soldiers Club House,RSM House, flat of five-bedroom apartment, among others.
