The Zamfara State Government has imposed a statewide curfew from 8 pm to 6 am to restore law and order in the State.
A statement by Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Dosara says, the State Government noticed with dismay, the wanton destruction and vandalization of poo public property with several innocent citizens attacked and inflicted with various degrees of injuries in the name of celebration of Monday’s declaration of Governorship election results.

It said, “reports available to the Government indicate that lives were lost, houses and personal effects destroyed, and shops were burgled. To guard against these acts, Government finds it imperative to impose a statewide curfew from 8 pm to 6 am until peace is restored”.
The State Government, therefore, directed security agencies to ensure compliance.
