Niger/Kogi Customs Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service says it has intercepted 283 wraps of compressed cannabis sativa, 9 exotic vehicles, 104 jerry-cans of premium motor spirit worth 182 million naira in duty-paid value.

Comptroller Pascal Chibuoke, who read the area command’s scorecard within his one month in office, warned smugglers to vacate his operational jurisdiction or continue to have their illegal businesses grounded.

It is week 4 of the assumption of office of Pascal Chibuoke as the Area Comptroller of the Niger/Kogi Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, and it has already successfully matched actions with words.

Among the interceptions made was that of the 283 wraps of cannabis sativa in a car along the Lokoja-Abuja highway but the driver escaped.
