The Nigerian Customs Service has seized five thousand five hundred packs of Tafradol tablets with duty paid value of five hundred and fifty million naira at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
Briefing journalists, Comptroller in charge of area one command, Port Harcourt, Mustapha Hashim warned drug traffickers to turn a new leaf, as his men are adequately equipped to track them down.
The consignment, believed to have originated from India, was imported into the country illegally through International Airlines from Frankfurt to the Port Harcourt.
A suspect named Patrick Agbo and a customs agent are said to have been arrested and are being quizzed over the consignment.
Comptroller Mustapha says the Nigerian Customs Service will continue to work with security agencies and other relevant bodies to protect the nation from the dangers posed by illicit drugs and other contraband
