Nigerian journalists have a responsibility to remain credible in their reportage amidst spate of insecurity, economic hardship, and political permutations ahead of 2027 general elections.
This was the message of DAAR Communications management, led by its Acting Chief Executive officer, Marcel Anyalechi, when he received the Deputy president of Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Abimbola Oyetunde and the NUJ FCT Council Chairperson, Grace Ike in his office.
While the NUJ deputy president’s delegation is seeking partnership with DAAR Communications ahead of June 21, NUJ at 70 event, the NUJ FCT council is asking for collaboration in areas of ethical conduct promotion and remittance of members’ check-off dues.

DAAR Communications management promised to support the journalists’ bodies in their various demands, especially based on the cordial relationship between the company and its local NUJ chapel, which has exhibited high level of responsibility amidst biting economic challenges.
