A stronger partnership between the Ogun State Government and DAAR Communications Plc, owners and operators of Africa Independent Television, AIT, Raypower FM and Faaji FM, is aimed at improving information dissemination to sensitise the populace and indeed Nigerians at large in areas of news, sports, entertainment and development.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DAAR Communications Plc, Marcel Anyalechi, led the company’s management team on a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Government where he assured of mutual benefits to both parties in terms of effective communications especially at the grassroots.
He sought deeper collaboration with the Ogun State Government, particularly in the areas of sports promotion, entertainment as well as showcasing the developmental strides of the state to the rest of Nigeria and the international community.
The management of the media conglomerate was received on behalf of the Ogun State Governor by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Oluwatoyin Taiwo who expressed the state government’s readiness to partner with DAAR Communications PLC.
He acknowledged the unique role the media outfit has continued to play in information dissemination across Nigeria and Africa, especially in promoting culture, sports, entertainment and public enlightenment.
Taiwo added that the Ogun State Government remains committed to working with credible media institutions to project the state’s programmes and development initiatives to a wider audience.
The Chief of Staff was joined by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, as well as senior officials of the State Ministry of Information.
Both parties expressed optimism that the renewed engagement will further strengthen collaboration between the Ogun State Government and DAAR Communications PLC in promoting development and informing the public.
