The management and staff of Daar Communications Plc, Port Harcourt network centre, operators of Africa Independent television and Raypower 106.5 fm on Sunday honoured its late founder, High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi with an evening of tribute and candlelight service following his demise on 29th May 2023.
The programme attracted dignitaries in the media industry, including the Catholic community as well as politicians who came to pay the media mogul their last respect.
The final journey home for the founder of the first privately owned broadcast station, High Chief Raymond Aleogho Anthony Dokpesi, continued with an evening of tribute and candle light service at the Port Harcourt office of the establishment.

In his sermon, Reverend Father Gerald Musa urged everyone to be faithful in all they do, like Late Raymond Dokpesi, whose commitment to the broadcast industry was exceptional.
The Catholic family also expressed gratitude to High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi for contributing to the development of the Catholic faith in the country.
Head of Port Harcourt network centre, Mrs Remi Olu-Akerele, other Port Harcourt management staff, media executives and friends, described Late High Chief Aleogho Dokpesi as a man who changed the narrative in the broadcast industry in Nigeria.
The high point of the evening of tribute was prayer for the Daar family.
