The nationwide industrial action by organized labor witnessed an improved level of compliance on its second day in Benue State compared to the first as government workers complied with Labour and affiliated unions’ directives to down tools.
In Makurdi the Benue State capital, joint leadership of the state labour unions were observed enforcing strict adherence to the industrial action.
At the Benue state secretariat it was a shadow of itself as access was restricted granted to essential workers,while commercial banks visited were closed, across the city.
Speaking on the level of compliance with the action in the state, the State Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Terungwa Igbe attributed the initial partial compliance to excuses made by some organisations which have been rectified.
