The death toll of the petrol tanker explosions at Dikko junction in Gurara local government area of Niger State has risen to 98 with the number of the injured put at 69.
The update is contained in a statement by the Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency, NSEMA, Abdullahi Baba-Arah through the spokesman of the agency, Hussaini Ibrahim.
The agency further confirmed that 20 shops, including those selling provisions as well as grinding and milling houses alongside scrap shops were destroyed.
