Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has urged the Armed Forces to intensify efforts to end the activities of bandits, kidnappers, and terrorists in the Northwest and other regions of the country.
The minister gave this directive during his visit to various formations and commands under Operation Fansan Yamma in Kaduna State.
The Northwest has been plagued by persistent security challenges with Kaduna getting a fair share of them.
During the visit to the Air and Maritime components of Operation Fansan Yamma in Kaduna, the defence minister assessed the joint operations in the region.

While commending the troops for their recent successes, Badaru urged them to maintain the momentum and push the fight directly into the criminals’ strongholds.
He assured them of continued federal government’s support.
The troops are expected to carry out operations to locate and neutralize criminal elements, bringing an end to insecurity across the country.
