Nigeria’s Defense Headquarters has moved to clarify the confusion arising from conflicting reports regarding one Idris Ojo said to be one of the Owo Church attackers whose arrest was announced on Tuesday.
At a news briefing in Abuja, Director Defense Information, Major-General Jimmy Akpor said Idris Ojo is one of the suspected attackers arrested in Aiyetoro, Ondo State, who escaped from the Kuje Correctional Centre. The other arrested terror suspects was named as Abdulmalik Omeiza.

Nigeria’s Defense Headquarters in a statement released earlier on Thursday also said 2 other Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, linked to the attack on the Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State were apprehended at Omialafara (Omulafa), Ose LGA, Ondo State.
It says the suspects, Al-Qasim Idris and Abdulhaleem Idris were arrested through the collaborative efforts of the military and DSS personnel.
