As reactions continue to trail the dissolution of the Delta State executive cabinet by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa; youths drawn from Ogwashi-uku, Headquarters of Aniocha-South Local Government Area of the State have decried the long absence of inclusiveness in governance despite its majority voting strength in the Delta North Senatorial District.
The group is appealing for more of their youths’ involvement in governance when reconstituting a new Cabinet and is also demanding the execution of more government projects in the Local Government Area.
Residents of Ogwashi-Uku are known for active participation in general elections, but the youths believe that more of the government’s presence in the area of road construction and other infrastructure are still needed; particularly, Agidi-Asei and Agidiehe which promotes trade in the agrarian region.
