The police in Delta state have confirmed the arrest of a 28 years old son who brutally murdered his father, at Okpare Olomo in Ughelli South local government area of Delta state, on Wednesday morning.
According to the police public relations officer, SP Bright Edafe, the deceased, Identified as Reverend
Umurie, was an Anglican Bishop at the Saint John Anglican church in Okpare Olomo.
The suspect, Ufoma Umurie was said to have hacked his father with a cutlass , burst his skull and mutilated other parts of his body.

The suspect also allegedly chased his mother who made several attempts to rescue her husband but escaped being murdered too.
In the meantime, the police have commenced investigation to ascertain the mental health status of the suspect before prosecuting him.
