Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has commissioned key academic and residential projects at Southern Delta University during activities marking the institution’s maiden convocation.
Governor Oborevwori expressed satisfaction with the university’s rapid growth and approved additional infrastructure to expand its academic capacity. He commended the management’s commitment to education and human capital development, assuring that the Faculty of Medical Sciences will receive a purpose-built structure and a conducive learning environment.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jacob Oboreh, thanked the governor for sustained support and disclosed that several projects were executed through internally generated revenue.
Projects commissioned include a block of science laboratories, the Faculty of Computer and Engineering, male and female hostels, and the Faculty of Medical Sciences building.
