Delta state governor Sheriff Oborevwori has commiserated with the Ometan Community in Okpe Local Government Area of the state on the death of seven of its people in a tanker fire accident on Friday morning.
Governor Oborevwori who made an on the spot assessment of the tanker fire accident in the company of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor while coming back from an inspection of projects in the creek, extended his heartfelt condolences to the community.
As at the time, the governor visited, the charred remains of the seven victims of the tanker fire were still at the scene of the incident.
According to eye witness account, the fire incident which killed seven people occurred along Warri-Sapele road around 10am after a fuel laden tanker had its head detached from its body while on motion and bursted into flames.
