Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has awarded four officers of the Nigerian army, Member of the order of the Niger MON, while the remaining 13 soldiers were awarded Order of the federal republic OFR

Tinubu, expresses sadness over the deaths of the 17 army personnel on a peaceful mission In Delta state On March 14, 2024

He said those behind the killings will not go unpunished and departed heroes will get justice, urging the chiefs to fish out those behind the wicked act.

He pledged houses, scholarship for the children up to tertiary level including those yet unborn

He said Nigeria will forever remember them, not just as servicemen, but as national heroes who gave their all for the peace and security of the country

The killers have by this dastardly act added 10 widows, 21 orphans and 3 pregnant women to the list of military widows and orphans
