A member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Reuben Izeze, representing Ugheli South Constituency narrowly escapes attack by masked gunmen suspected to be assassins.
The lawmaker was attacked in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State with his assailants shooting his car multiple times and at a close range.

The gunmen whisked away one of the aides of the lawmaker who was travelling with him.
The lawmaker and right activist was returning to his country home in Ughelli-South on Thursday night when he came under heavy bombardment.
The Delta State Police Command spokesperson, Bright Edafe who confirmed the incident said officers of the command have rescued the abducted aide and recovered the vehicle, while manhunt to apprehend the crimimals has begun.
Edafe also confirmed that the lawmaker who survived the attack is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
