The Delta state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, crisis between two of its governorship candidates, Sheriff Oborevwori and David Edevbie appears to be far from been over.
This development has left worries among some youths of the ruling party who fear that if the political crisis is not resolved immediately, the party may loose to Opposition during the forth coming general elections.

Days after the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja delivered judgment in favor of the present Speaker of the Delta state House of Assembly, Sheriff Oborevwori, who is also the PDP governorship aspirant that won the primaries, uneasy calm has rattled the camp of David Edevbie, the closest rival to Sheriff.
Party supporters are hoping PDP National Executive would intervene and save the party from losing grip of the state during the 2023 general elections.
For now, it is unclear if David Edevbie will challenge the Court of Appeal judgement at the Supreme Court, and if that happens, this means that the judgment of the apex court will finally affirm the authentic governorship candidate of the PDP for Delta state in next year’s general elections.
