Officers from the Delta State Police Command have burst an arms dealing syndicate following the arrest of a suspect in possession of Three Hundred and Forty rounds of AK47 live ammunition concealed in a bag of processed cassava, popularly known as “Garri”.
The suspect, Solomon Ebe, Thirty-Seven years of age was apprehended by a team of police officers from Bomadi Divisional Headquarters during a Stop-and-Search Operation along Bomadi/Tuomo Road in Delta State.

Solomon Ebe who is undergoing interrogation in detention is expected to avail the police with information on the purpose of the live ammunition in his possession and other members of his syndicate.

Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed in a statement signed by the Command spokesperson, Bright Edafe says the Command Raider Squad in a separate raid on Utuloho Street Ozoro, Isoko-south local government area of Delta; also apprehended Ejiro Efemijoghor in possession of an English Double Barrel gun and twenty-six live cartridges.
Ejiro whose investigation is ongoing had claimed the ammunition found in her possession, belongs to her husband.
