The Delta State Police Command says it has arrested an armed robbery syndicate planning to attack a new generation bank at Ughelli.
A statement issued and signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright, explained that the arrest was successful based on intelligence gathering by its Eagle Net Special Squad, led by SP Dimka Usman.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include one double barrel automatic pump action gun with 25 rounds of live cartridges and one Toyota Highlander SUV.
The statement also hinted that some suspected bandits terrorizing residents of Hausa quarters in Warri and its environs have been arrested, while the son of Etsu Nupe of Hausa quarters Warri, Salisu Ibrahim, has been declared wanted for the murder of one Onajite Ogoloh and several other crimes committed.
The Police Command, however, assured Delta residents of its resolve to protect lives and properties.
