Delta State government has received its first batch of the COVID-19 vaccine, says it will start administering with the state health workers especially the frontline workers government officials, security chiefs, and other individuals.
Delta state commissioner for health Mordi Ononye who was on hand at the Asaba International Airport to take delivery of the consignment on behalf of the state government said the delivery of the 85.700 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine marks the beginning of the state wide vaccination exercise a development he said would promote good health by boosting immune system of individuals.

Mordi made clarifications on the conspiracy theories on the side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine according to Mordi, the vaccination exercise will be a continuous process as the state awaits more vaccines after the exhaustion of the present 85.700 doses.
