The Delta State Police Command says its officers from Ekpan Police Division in Warri-South Local Government Area of the State have foiled a robbery attempt along Jakpa road, Uvwie Council Area.
Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed in a statement said the security operatives on sighting the daredevil robbery gang while on patrol, had an intensive gun battle that claimed the life of one of the robbers and sent the rest to flight.

Items recovered were; Twenty-six live 5.56-millimeter ammunition, An empty AK-47 magazine, A Locally made Pistol, and One live cartridge.
The CP further directed all Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders to step up visibility patrol, intensive Stop-and-Search Operation, and Continuous raid on black spots.
