Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori says as part of his administration’s strategic engagements with the people and in fulfilment of his electoral promises, it would soon embark on holding townhall meetings across the state.

Governor Oborevwori who made this known when he received executives of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN led by State Chairman, Reverend Lucky Osagbakhoe at Government House Asaba. He said his administration was working towards ensuring that every Local Government benefited from the ongoing massive road construction.

Governor Oborevwori said the 2024 state budget captured not less than N1 billion of road projects for each Local Government Area in a systematic move to provide access roads to council areas in Delta State. He explained that this is outside other projects going on simultaneously across the state.

He said his administration was not unmindful of the difficulties confronting families in the face of the current economic hardship having floated several empowerment programmes in the past few weeks where 5.000 persons benefited with distribution of fertiliser and other agricultural inputs to over 6.000 persons.

The Governor further commended the fathers of faith for their steadfastness and prayers for those in leadership positions. He stressed that his administration knows the importance of engaging the citizens and gave reason for buying time.

Reverend Osagbakhoe congratulated the Governor on his victory at the polls and various court cases and applauded him for his developmental efforts across the state.

The cleric also stressed the importance of holding town hall meetings a suggestion the Governor said was on his agenda.
