Delta state government in south-south Nigeria has vowed to redouble its crusade against all forms of gender-based violence through the empowerement of the girl-child and other measures.

Commissioner for humanitarian and community support services, Bridget Anyafuli who made this disclosure while briefing journalists in Asaba in commemoration of year 2021 16 days activism against gender-based violence identified the violence against persons (prohibition) act and the Child Rights Act as some of the legal instruments domesticated in delta state to ensure the protection of women and girls against violence.
