At 29 years, the people of Delta have continued to express confidence, that the State created by the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, will experience abundance in all sectors with the present Democratic dispensation.

Ait.live Correspondent who went round some communities, reports that typically, the celebration should be a moment of excitement for the residents of the state, but this year’s anniversary of the state’s creation, has been that of mixed feelings

Our reporter says that Some residents are of the opinion that the level of developments as an oil-producing state, regarding infrastructure, should
be better than what it is today, while the quality of life was expected to improve.

They however expressed confidence that this is the burden the Okowa-led administration is currently changing, beginning with the cost of governance

They say access roads to various communities and towns, in urban and rural areas, should be top indicators of infrastructural development.

In some communities like Issele-Azagba, home to more than Eight Hundred Thousand Dwellers, government presence was described as non existence.

They complained of lack of water and good roads to move their farm produce.

Some of the communities also complained of lack of educational facilities for their children.

They however believed that the administration of ifeanyi Okoduwa will turn all these around positively for the benefit of their people.
