The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu says he has dedicated himself and the upcoming Presidential campaign to the spirit of June 12 struggle and what it symbolises for today’s Nigeria.
In a statement issued to commemorate the struggle for the ascendancy of the winner of June 12 1993 Presidential election, Tinubu is confident that prosperity shall overcome poverty, peace outlast violence, compassion conquer hatred and good defeat evil just like democracy finally won against dictatorship.
The former Lagos State Governor also expressed the belief that the spirit of June 12 shall expand to become the spirit of Nigeria and “our National greatness and destiny.
He prayed that people from all walks of life and parts of the country unite to build a more industrious and peaceful society.
While thanking President Buhari for recognising June 12 as the true Democracy Day for Nigeria, the APC Presidential candidate prayed for the souls of the martyrs of June 12 Democratic struggle continue to Rest in Peace.
