DG NYSC debunks rumour of killing of Corps members deployed to Kaduna

The Director-General, of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General Sha’ibu Ibrahim, has debunked the news making rounds on the social media, that all corps members deployed to Kaduna State, were killed by bandits in a single day.

The DG who cleared the air while addressing the newsmen and corps members at the swearing-in of the 2021 Batch B, Stream 1 corps members deployed to Kaduna State, described it as fake news.

He said that the essence of the working visit to the NYSC Camp is to boost the morale of the corps members deployed to the state.

Ibrahim urged the youths to be patriotic, disciplined, law-abiding, and work towards adding value to the NYSC, by avoiding acts capable of tarnishing the image of the scheme.

The NYSC DG, enjoined the youths to promote national unity for peace and development of the country.

He also asked them to respect the culture and values of their host community during their service year.
