The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Shuaibu Ibrahim has donated 10,000 face mask to the Sports ministry towards the postponed National Sports Festival, Edo 2020.
Shuaibu Ibrahim said the donation became necessary as the Nigerian government consider plans towards the resumption of sporting activities in the country amid COVID-19 pandemic.
He said the donation is the NYSC own way of collaborating with sports ministry.
Permanent secretary, ministry of youths and sports, Gabriel Aduda who received the donations assured that sports activities will reopen as soon as COVID-19 prevention protocols are in place at sports grounds.

Nigeria joined the rest of the world in March to suspend Sports activities because of COVID-19, which also included the 20th National Sports festival initially scheduled to hold from March 22 to April 2.
