Former Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye has emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Governorship Primary for the November eleventh election.
Dino pulled three hundred and thirteen votes to defeat nine other candidates who participated in the April 16th election in Lokoja Kogi State.

The contest was among ten aspirants that cut across the three Senatorial districts, a process described as orderly and peaceful.

Reacting after his victory, Dino Melaye says he is on a rescue mission to bring dividends of democracy to the citizens of Kogi state.
Also, The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP had its primary election in Lokoja the state capital where Musa Mubarak emerged winner after pulling six hundred and seven votes to defeat other contestants.
With the conclusion of the primaries in Kogi State, all is now set for the candidates to begin their campaigns for votes from the electorates ahead of the election in November.
