Angola says it will continue to give priority to its trade cooperation with Nigeria and work towards improving bilateral relations between the two countries.
Angolan Ambassador to Nigeria, Benin, and Niger, José Bamóquina said this during his country’s 48th independence anniversary celebration on Saturday in Abuja.
The Angolan envoy says the 48 years of independence of Angola represented the sacrifices made by the Angolan people and government’s determination to grow the country
and strengthening bilateral cooperation is at the core of both countries leaders.
José Bamóquina acknowledged the partnership between Angola and Nigeria within the framework of Technical and Methodological Coordination of African Petroleum Producing Organization, which extended to the Organisation of the Pet Countries (OPEC).
He said that the Angola/Nigeria Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in Luanda to ensure the needs of the business community in both countries are properly understood and supported.
He explained that the African Free Trade Zone provides a veritable opportunity countries on the continent to deepen trade cooperation and reverse the current situation in the short and medium terms.
