The counsel said the bail bond of his clients have been fully perfected after Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Abuja Federal High Court signed the release order, setting all Sunday Igboho’s aides free, including the 4 contested detainees, but the DSS had refused to release his clients.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court Abuja had signed the release order, setting Sunday Igboho’s aides free, 19 days after they were granted bail on August 4, 2021.
Justice Egwuatu also signed the Release Order of the four contested detainees, ignoring the persistent argument of counsel to DSS, Idowu Awo who alleged there is high level of complicity on their part.
The 12 persons were arrested following a midnight raid on Igboho’s residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on July 2 in which 2 persons were killed by officers of the Nigerian secret police.
