DSS, Police arrest Igbo Chief who threatened to invite IPOB to Lagos for protection

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Eze Ndigbo of Ajao estate, lagos state, Frederick Nwajagu over a viral video posted on Friday where he had disclosed his intention to invite members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB to protect lives and property of the Igbo people residing in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed this to AIT in a phone conversation said a team of police officers and operatives from the Department of State Security effected his arrest early Saturday.

The police spokesperson had earlier reacted to the video saying that the police will not fold it’s arms and allow such incitive comments capable of creating ethnic tension in the state.

The Eze Ndigbo of Ajao estate, Frederick had shared a video on social media, threatening to invite members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB to secure the igbo people and their property in the state threatening that the igbos in Lagos must have their own security to protect them from further attacks.
Frederick Nwajagu is currently in the custody of the DSS
