Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa has been released from the custody of the Department of State Service (DSS).
News of Bawa’s release is contained in a two-paragraph press statement by the Secret Agency’s spokesman, Peter Afunanya late Wednesday.

Bawa was arrested by the DSS shortly after he was suspended as the chairman of the EFCC by President Bola Tinubu on the 14th of June 2023, over allegations of abuse of office.
