BAUCHI STATE

Christians in the Bauchi Local Government Area have wrapped up Easter celebrations with an interdenominational service.

They emphasised unity among them describing themselves as entities with different mothers but one father, saying the death of Christ brings unity, breaks barriers, and reconciles them.

This was contained in a message delivered during the service by Reverend Luka Murai.

It is Easter Monday celebration in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.

The faithfuls intend to wrap up the celebration through interdenominational service, in order to strengthen unity among themselves, especially during the harsh economy Nigeria is passing through.

Christians were also told to manage their resources, and venture into farming, even as the rainy season sets in, in order to avoid future challenges of hunger.

During the service, the Christians urged the Bauchi State Government to look into the provision of a Christian cemetery, to which the Senior Special Adviser on Christian Affairs to the Bauchi State Governor, Zakka Magaji responded.

Easter Monday brings an end to the celebration of the 2024 Easter, with hope of transformation from the current economic realities.
