Ebonyi and Taraba State Governor’s preach peace at Easter

Ebonyi state Governor, Dave Umahi wants the people of the state to remain united and eschew all forms of bitterness, hatred and bloodletting
Governor Umahi who made the call in his Easter message to the said this year’s Easter event is coming at the time the state is faced with the daunting challenges of finding amicable solutions to the intractable communal hostilities rocking some parts of the state.


He mentioned the recent massacre of some residents of Egedegede in Ishielu Local Government Area of the state by suspected marauding herders as some of communal hostilities in the state.
Governor Umahi is however confident that as Chirst Jesus triumphed over death, the state will also triumph over her current woes.

Still on the Easter celebration ,Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku has expressed joy that peace is gradually returning to flashpoints in the state.

Governor Ishiaku also called on the citizens to remain ambassadors of peace, humility and sacrifice, in the spirit of the Easter celebration.

The Governor says the lessons of love and compassion that comes with Easter, should be imbibed by all, beyond the Easter period.

This is contained in an official statement by Governor Ishaku, to mark the Easter in the state.

He also reminded Taraba people that Government is aware of the security threat, posed by kidnappers and other criminal activities in the state, assuring that his administration is in collaboration with security agencies, to put an end to the security challenge in the state.

While calling for the support of every citizen, in the fight against insecurity,Governor Ishaku urged Taraba residents to take the Covid-19 vaccination seriously, as the vaccine is now available in the state.
